Many times, our Veterans are left setting overnight in waiting rooms waiting for transportation home after being released from the VA hospital or other treatment centers.
We believe they deserve better. New Albany Elks Lodge has started the Emergency Transportation Fund. This Fund will be used to provide payment for transportation via paid services such as a taxi or other paid vehicle services. This will give our Veterans a way home without worries of missing the last bus and waiting overnight until the buses run again in the morning.
New Albany Elks Lodge 270 asks you to consider donating to the Emergency Transportation Fund. All funds are used for our Veterans’ transportation needs.
